Loved ones speak about unsolved killing of Charlotte teen

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Detectives from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers are still working to identify the person responsible for shooting and killing an 18-year-old in west Charlotte.

The deadly shooting happened outside of a home on Eddington Street on Sunday, September 24, 2023. 18-year-old Caleb Thompson, a graduate of Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology, was killed, according to police.

Thompson’s grandmother, Sharon Jackson, lives in the home where the shooting happened. She said her grandson liked to cook, play video games, and was never in trouble…
