CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – As a cold front pushes east, we are going to end the weekend with a First Alert Weather Day for tomorrow, which will continue into Monday due to rain and the risk of severe storms.

Get ready for more 70s on Sunday, but in the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will begin to spread across the area from west to east.
A second round of storms will move through the area on Monday. Some storms could be strong to severe, capable of producing damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes.
After the passage of the cold front, sunshine will briefly return for Tuesday, along with highs in the lower 70s.
On Wednesday, there will be a slight chance for some isolated showers; otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 70s.
