( PINPOINT WEATHER ) — We’re looking at a tale of two cities this weekend as Saturday brings on more of the heat and Sunday ushers in the chance of storms.
We’re warm this morning with cloudy skies locked in. Winds are still flowing out of the south with a bit of a breeze, getting wind gusts up to 15 to 22 miles per hour at times. Highs will make a run for the upper 80s again, potentially tying or breaking the current record of 88 degrees set back in 1942.
Skies will be mostly cloudy with a few breaks of sunshine here and there. After a very warm day, we’ll have a nice, comfortable evening as lows dip into the mid-60s heading into Sunday.
We’ll be warm again on Sunday, with highs approaching the low 80s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. An approaching cold front will bring the threat of storms Sunday afternoon and evening, with a ‘marginal risk’ for severe weather in place for the Queen City and areas north and west…
