Tuesday is sunny as temps peak in the upper 70s

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Tuesday will start off cool and chilly with another round of wet weather moving in later this week.

The 50s and 40s have settled in this Tuesday morning from our mountain counties to uptown. Winds will be light through this morning, with sunshine dominating from this morning into the afternoon.

Highs will make a run for the upper 70s on Tuesday, which is near normal for this time of year. Skies will stay mostly sunny before clouds roll in late this evening. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-50s, making for a chilly and cool Wednesday morning.

Rain chances will increase a bit from mid-week into the second half of the week as upper 70s and low 80s settle in for Wednesday and Thursday. Afternoon showers will move in as a stationary front parks itself over the Carolinas.

We’ll hold storm chances on Friday as highs level off in the mid-70s to finish off the work week. Low to mid-70s will settle in through Mother’s Day weekend with a few lingering showers…
