Showers, storm chances in Carolinas pick up by midweek

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Clouds will increase over the course of our Wednesday!

  • Wednesday: Mid 70s, increasing clouds, few showers late
  • End of Week: Warm, little humid, scattered showers and storms
  • Mother’s Day Weekend: Low 70s, rain chances south

Temperatures will start in the mid 50s on Wednesday and reach the mid to upper 70s by the afternoon hours, with a few showers possible late.

Another cold front approaches the area by the end of the week, bringing a better chance for scattered showers to the area on Thursday and Friday.

Fortunately, no washouts are expected, but a few gusty storms are possible.

By Mother’s Day weekend, temperatures will drop into the low 70s for highs behind the cold front. But with that front just to our south, several waves of rain will be possible…
