A cold front will enter the state Saturday, and we may see some strong storms again as there is a risk for damaging winds and large hail, but right now rain chances are low because confidence is low in widespread storm coverage.

Saturday will be hot, and Sunday will see some cooler and drier air, so we’ll see a drop in humidity into early next week. Rain is back in the forecast by Tuesday.

Durham museum celebrates birth of 3 red wolf pups

Three red wolf pups were born last week and are in good health, officials at the Museum of Life and Science said Tuesday. Martha, a 7-year-old red wolf, gave birth May 3 to a litter of three male pups at the Durham museum, officials said, calling it a landmark in the conservation of the species.
