INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. (WBTV) – Neighbors spoke out this week following a homicide in Indian Trail that was linked to a deadly police shooting over the weekend.
An investigation continued Monday, June 2 into a homicide that happened the Saturday prior on Astoria Drive in Indian Trail, North Carolina. That investigation was connected with a shootout between the homicide suspect and police on Saturday.
Police shoot, kill teen who allegedly shot at officers
At around 1:44 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, officers with the Monroe Police Department said they tried to pull over a car behaving suspiciously on Old Charlotte Highway. The driver of that care, later identified as 18-year-old Joshua Sikes, allegedly refused to pull over and instead drove away.
