CMPD: Charlotte man killed in motorcycle accident after being thrown from bike, excessive speed suspected

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A multi-vehicle crash in east Charlotte claimed the life of a 37-year-old man Wednesday evening after he was thrown from his motorcycle, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Officers responded just before 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, to the 8000 block of Albemarle Road following the report of a serious crash.
