North Carolina has awarded an economic incentive to a Fortune 500 company to bring a nearly 1,200-jobs plant to Salisbury.
During a special meeting Monday, the N.C. Economic Investment Committee green-lit incentives to entice the manufacturing solutions firm Jabil to pick the North Carolina city over a competing location in Florida, where the company is based.
Founded in 1966, Jabil has a market capitalization above $23 billion. It already employs close to 1,000 people in the state at its Asheville, Hendersonville and Mebane facilities…
