CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte Fire recruit got to use his firefighter training outside of the classroom when he responded to an unconscious man experiencing a medical crisis.
On July 1, Charlotte Fire recruit David Edwards had just finished his firefighter training and was driving back to Oakboro from the Charlotte Fire Training Academy when he noticed a stopped utility truck sitting in the right lane near Exit 218 in Mint Hill.
The vehicle was in the middle of traffic, but not moving. This caught his attention, and he quickly sprang into action…
