CMPD officers hurt following 4th of July arrests in Uptown; 10 firearms seized

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Following the July 4th celebrations in Uptown, police arrested several individuals who gathered in and around Romare Bearden Park.

Police say there were no official events planned, so throughout the evening, CMPD officers worked to manage the influx of visitors around the 300 block of South Church Street.

There were a total of 15 arrests, seven adults and eight juveniles. Additionally, 10 firearms were seized…
