Storm Chantal weakens, ‘scattered showers’ expected in Charlotte, NWS says

Rains from the outer bands of Tropical Storm Chantal could dump as far west from the coast as Charlotte, a National Weather Service meteorologist said Saturday.

“Shower chances increase after daybreak Sunday,” NWS meteorologist Chris Horne said about the Charlotte area.
