CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — If you’re in the area of Shopton Road on Monday, don’t be alarmed if you hear loud booms or unusual noises; it’s not another fireworks celebration.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is warning nearby residents and visitors that they’ll be safely disposing of illegal fireworks at the Police and Fire Training Academy, located at 1770 Shopton Road in southwest Charlotte, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday, July 7.
