CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte woman won big with a $50 scratch-off lottery ticket, according to the North Carolina Lottery.
Latonya Rayford bought the lucky $8 Million Money Maker ticket at the BP Food Mart on West Sugar Creek Road in Charlotte, winning the $8 million top prize.

Rayford had the option to take $400,000 a year for the next 20 years or a lump sum of $4.8 million. She chose the $400,000 annuity and received her first payment on Monday. After taxes, she went home with $287,014.
For the next 19 years, Rayford will receive an annual check for $400,000 until the full $8 million is paid out…
