UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Fayetteville man has been arrested after allegedly stealing mail for weeks from residents in Unionville, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
In June, deputies received multiple reports of mail thefts in and around Unionville, primarily near Highway 218. About eight people reportedly had their mail taken out of their mailboxes, with many important items stolen, officials said.
After interviewing victims and witnesses, and using license plate reader technology, investigators identified the suspect as 41-year-old Juan Peterson-Gannon.
