Victims of vehicle break-ins at Charlotte luxury hotel believe their cars were targeted

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins at an upscale hotel that netted cash, jewels, and guns.

Police say thieves hit 17 vehicles parked outside The Ballantyne early Sunday morning.

One victim, who asked to remain anonymous, showed QCN where the thieves used a window punch tool to try to break into the passenger side of his pickup truck…
