CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – This isn’t your average flower — it took decades to bloom, and now it’s stealing the show in Plaza Midwood.
The massive plant could be seen in its rarest form on Sunday, July 20, at the corner of Central Avenue and Club Road.
An agave americana is a dramatic, spiky succulent native to Mexico that thrives in arid climates. Its bloom is a sign that the plant has reached full maturity after possibly decades of silent growth.
