DALLAS, N.C. (WBTV) – An officer from the Gaston County Police Department is being credited for saving a newborn baby’s life just minutes after the baby was born.
Dallas residents Thomas Wells and Autumn Wooten said they were expecting their baby girl, Lainey, to be born in early June. They said that on Tuesday, June 3 — just days prior to Lainey’s due date — Wooten’s water broke. The couple said they were just waking up at the family home in Dallas when it happened.
