A North Carolina truck driver was arrested after the Lancaster County criminal interdiction unit spotted a semi driving on the shoulder of I-80 near NW 48th Street Monday afternoon. LSO Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says they were able to get the truck stopped and a K-9 detected the presence of narcotics.
“A probable cause search was conducted and 135 pounds of marijuana and 117 pounds of mushrooms were located in the vehicle.” 30-year-old Gebremedhin Bereke of Charlotte was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail.
