Each day, Dee Camm Washington wears a locket around her neck. The locket contains a miniature photo of Washington’s 6-year-old daughter, Ariana Camm Baldwin, who died on May 26, 2024.
“I never take it off,” Washington said.
Ariana’s death last May was ruled an accidental drowning after an investigation by the Gaston County Police Department. The child was having a sleepover at a friend’s house in the Dallas area at the time of her death. Ariana’s friend, 7-year-old Harper Guffey, also drowned.
