(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — There are thousands of power outages across the Charlotte area Friday as severe storms moved through.
The outages in Mecklenburg County reached the 10,000 mark Friday evening. Most of these were in south Charlotte in the Park Road and Providence Road corridors.
In Gaston County, more than 3,400 Duke Energy customers have lost power. This includes major outages near Dallas, northwestern Gastonia, Bessemer City and the Crowders community. These are expected to be restored between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m…
