Free Car Seat Safety Checks Offered by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police in August

Charlotte parents and guardians, mark your calendars for a hands-on safety opportunity you won’t want to miss. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) announced on their social media platform that free car seat checks are being offered at the Freedom Division/West Service Center this month. The address for those interested is 4150 Wilkinson Blvd., and the dates are August 6th and August 20th from 9-11 a.m.

According to the CMPD News post, keeping children safe in the car is their top priority; they’re extending a helping hand to ensure little passengers are secure. The event is designed to be as accessible as possible, hence no appointment is required, but they do ask that you bring the car seat and know the child’s height and weight, this will assist them in making the right adjustments for your child’s safety.
