CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One suspect in a string of reported armed robberies of Charlotte vape shops has been arrested after his own mother confirms his identity to police, court records show.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police reports that just before midnight July 8, officers responded to a store in the 7000 block of South Boulevard, near Arrowood Road. They alleged that two suspects stole approximately $1,300 in CBD and tobacco products and $2,000 in cash.

The items reported stolen include CBD flower products, five packs of THC vape liquid and three packs of Backwoods Cigars. No injuries were reported.
Detectives with CMPD’s Robbery Unit obtained sufficient evidence to connect one of the suspects to three additional larceny reports in other parts of the city, all allegedly committed at similar businesses since May along the South Boulevard corridor…
