4th arrest made in homicide case after man stabbed inside his Noda apartment, struck by vehicle: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Charlotte man who was stabbed in his apartment this month and later hit by a vehicle, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and court records.

CMPD announced on Thursday, Aug. 14, that 36-year-old Milton McKnight has been taken into custody for the murder of 44-year-old Jeremy Mouzon.

Investigators said he was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 13, by CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. After being interviewed, McKnight was booked into the Mecklenburg County jail. He faces several charges, including murder and first-degree burglary.

This arrest follows the capture of three other men now charged in connection with Mouzon’s death. According to court documents:

  • Marcus Worrell, 26, and Kwamane Harriott-Cox, 35, were arrested Monday, Aug. 11
  • Jermaine Hicks, 40, was arrested the following day
