First-of-its-kind AI-powered school coming to Charlotte for 2025-26 school year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A new school coming to Charlotte will be transforming the way kids learn in the classroom. This year, kids will be learning their core subjects using artificial intelligence.

Alpha School was started in Austin, Texas, back in 2014 by co-founder MacKenzie Price.

“I was a mom who was frustrated with the lack of ability for my daughters to get a personalized learning experience in their traditional schools,” Price said. “What I realized is that it is so challenging, in fact, impossible for a teacher who’s managing 20 plus students who are all at wildly different levels of knowledge.”
