Police chase in North Carolina ends with arrest of 15 and two 16-year-olds

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — New details have been released following a police pursuit earlier this week involving three teenagers connected to a shooting investigation.

On Friday, Aug. 22, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police confirmed that all three juvenile suspects involved have now been arrested and charged. One of the teens already had active warrants for shooting into an occupied dwelling at the time of the incident, they said.

The incident began just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, when CMPD officers tried to pull over a vehicle believed to be connected to a recent shooting. Instead of stopping, the driver sped away, leading police on a chase that ended at 6700 Beatties Ford Road, near a school.
