CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A shooting has sent a man to a Charlotte hospital Tuesday afternoon.
WCNC Charlotte learned that a crime scene had unfolded around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 12th Street and North Davidson Street, near the ramp to I-277. A photographer who went to record it confirmed that an investigation was underway as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers were on the scene, setting down evidence markers near a red Cadillac SUV.
While recording, WCNC Charlotte’s photographer witnessed people arriving at the scene who told officers they were relatives of the victim, who is thus far only identified as a man. One person who said he was the man’s father spoke with the victim on speakerphone, who claimed he had been shot three times: twice in the left arm and once in the right arm…
