CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 2-year-old boy is safe after a vehicle was stolen with him inside on Sunday morning in northeast Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
The incident happened just before 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, in the parking lot of a Circle K gas station located in the 7000 block of University City Boulevard. CMPD said a vehicle belonging to OHANS Car Rental LLC was taken while the child was still inside.
According to the police report, one suspect drove off with the car, while a second suspect is accused of causing a ‘risk of serious harm’ to the child. Thankfully, the toddler was not hurt and was not directly threatened during the incident, the police report states…
