CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than two months after a deadly shooting north of Uptown ended with a 17-year-old’s death, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department shared that a younger teen is now charged in the case.
CMPD said on Wednesday, August 27, that officers with the Special Investigation Bureau’s Crime Gun Suppression Teen located the 14-year-old juvenile and arrested the suspect on Thursday, August 21. After an interview with homicide detectives, the teen was charged with murder and transferred to the custody of the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
