Moving company bets on ‘AI-proof’ jobs, bringing 100 positions to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — While artificial intelligence threatens to wipe out millions of white-collar jobs, one moving company is working to make sure it doesn’t completely take over the workforce.

College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving opened a new corporate store in Charlotte on Labor Day, creating 100 permanent positions for movers, drivers and laborers. The company plans to add another 150 seasonal jobs during the summer moving season.
