Kitchen fire causes over $100K in damages to Charlotte home, CFD says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A kitchen fire caused more than $100,000 in damage to a northwest Charlotte home early Sunday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the 1500 block of Elswick Lane around 1:08 a.m. Crews brought the blaze under control in less than 20 minutes.
