Family reaches settlement in WBTV meteorologist Jason Myers’ wrongful death case

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The family of the late Jason Myers, a WBTV meteorologist who was killed in a helicopter crash in November 2022, has reached a civil settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit, according to a statement released by the Myers family.

The settlement concludes the legal proceedings and is intended to compensate for Myers’ lost income and future earning capacity, the family said. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
