NC Senate passes justice reform bill in wake of deadly train stabbing; HB 307 now heads to House

North Carolina lawmakers are set to discuss a new bill Monday ushering in a series of changes to criminal justice system.

This comes in response to last month’s deadly stabbing of a woman on a Charlotte light rail. 34-year-old Decarlos Brown is now facing state and federal charges in connection to the case, which has drawn national attention.
