CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One week after 4-year-old Jayce Edwards was fatally shot while sleeping in his Steele Creek home, his family continues to grieve the loss of a child who loved parks and spending time with his three brothers.
The shooting occurred on Cigar Court when suspects attempting to steal a car fired into the home where Jayce was sleeping, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. Four people have been charged in connection with the crime.
