Suspect in custody after alleged assault in Uptown: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has been taken into custody after an alleged assault in Uptown, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 400 block of East Trade Street. When they arrived, they found one victim with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
