Gastonia Murder Case Closed as Two Men Plead Guilty and Sentenced for 2021 Killing of Alan Johnson

The long arm of the law has finally rested upon the shoulders of two men involved in the 2021 murder of Alan Johnson. According to a recent social media post by the Gastonia Police Department, justice has been served in a case that has lingered in the minds of the victim’s family and the community.

The Gastonia Police revealed that Lewis Detter has pled guilty to being an accessory after the fact in the killing that took Alan Johnson’s life on May 31, 2021, on E. Ozark Avenue. Detter has been handed a sentence of seven to ten years behind bars. This latest development comes nearly two and a half years after Johnson was found shot inside his vehicle, which was then intentionally set ablaze in an effort to possibly hide the evidence of this heinous act…
