CMPD: Speed a factor in deadly west Charlotte crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The 24-year-old driver of a car involved in a west Charlotte crash has died from his injuries, according to CMPD.

The accident happened Tuesday, September 23rd on Sam Wilson Road near Highway 74.

Upon arrival, officers say they located a severely damaged Hyundai Elantra on the shoulder of the road. The driver, Jaquavias Holley, 24, and two other passengers were located inside the vehicle, according to a news release…
