CHARLOTTE, N.C. — City leaders unveiled a comprehensive public safety plan Wednesday aimed at addressing growing concerns about crime in Uptown Charlotte, particularly around major gathering spaces and transit hubs.
The Center City Public Safety Task Force, established in July, announced a series of immediate actions and long-term strategies aimed at improving both actual safety and residents’ sense of security in the heart of the Queen City.
