Charlotte was shaken by a series of overnight shootings that left three individuals with life-threatening injuries. The violent incidents unfolded late Wednesday and into early Thursday morning in different neighborhoods across the city. The authorities are yet to make any arrests in connection with the shootings, and investigations are ongoing, as reported by WBTV.
The first of the incidents occurred around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday on Winding Branch Court in north Charlotte, leaving one person injured after someone fired into a house, stated Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police according to WBTV. Almost simultaneously, another shooting took place near Central Avenue and Veterans Park, where Medic found an individual with a gunshot wound, as noted by WCNC. Both instances left the victims hospitalized and in a precarious fight for life.
The series of tragic events continued past midnight, with a third shooting reported around 1:15 a.m. Thursday on Commonwealth Avenue, less than a mile from the Central Avenue incident.
