Arrest made in assault/robbery case featured in WBTV Crime Stoppers report

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A man has been arrested and charged in connection to an alleged pistol-whipping incident featured in a recent WBTV Crime Stoppers report.

A representative from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed that Dominic Sanchez Moody was arrested and charged in connection to the August incident. Records from the Mecklenburg County Jail show Moody was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to investigators, the reported violent robbery happened on Saturday, Aug. 23 in a neighborhood near South Tryon Street close to Billy Graham Parkway. Police said the alleged robber followed two people through the neighborhood and eventually attacked them…
