Men indicted on charges related to shooting at Mecklenburg County ambulance in Uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The two men accused of shooting at an ambulance in uptown Charlotte were indicted on their charges Friday.

Detevin Butts and Jaquarius Mingo, both of Charlotte, were arrested last month for the shooting that occurred Sept. 25 on East Trade Street. The Medic vehicle was left with a bullet hole and a shattered glass window. No one was injured.

A Mecklenburg County grand jury indicted both suspects on four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony conspiracy and discharging a weapon into occupied property. Butts also was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Their next court date is Nov. 18…
