NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision on North Carolina Highway 16 South near Highway 73, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 12:40 a.m. when a 2006 Acura RSX traveling north in the southbound lane collided head-on with a 2014 Nissan Altima. Both vehicles caught fire following the impact.
The driver of the Acura, identified as 32-year-old Rashann Curmon of Charlotte, died at the scene. A child in the Acura was taken to a hospital with minor injuries…
