HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — N.C. 73 was closed for several hours near the Mecklenburg-Cabarrus County line after a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon.
According to Huntersville Police, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on N.C. 73 at Stanley McElrath Road. The road was closed between that intersection and Summers Walk Boulevard.

Medic officials say one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported with serious injuries. Two vehicles were involved.
