Charlotte businessman, controller facing felony tax charges

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Mecklenburg County businessman and his company’s controller were arrested Friday on felony tax charges, according to the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Kristian Pedersen, 51, of Charlotte, was charged Oct. 10 with four counts of embezzlement of state property and one count of obstruction of justice. Janna R. Donohue, 47, also of Charlotte, was charged with one count of obstruction of justice.

According to indictments, Pedersen served as president/manager and responsible person for four businesses: CBG Draft Services Inc., CBG Draft Services LC LLC, CBG Draft Services NC LLC, and Crafty Beer Guys LLC…
