The recent homicide investigation in the Westover Division has taken a significant turn following the identification of both the victim and suspect. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) confirmed the victim as 53-year-old Ronald Neville. The ongoing inquiry led detectives to pinpoint 32-year-old Ronnie Fewell as a suspect related to this grim incident.
According to CMPD’s news release, Fewell was apprehended by the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) on Tuesday, just two days ago, marking a swift response to the unfolding events. This suspect is now facing grave charges, including Felony Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Felony Conspiracy. Following the arrest, Fewell has been placed under the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
