Officers seize drugs, guns in north Charlotte traffic stops

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD has seized multiple firearms and narcotics via traffic stops in north Charlotte.

On Oct. 12, officers conducted a traffic stop on North Tryon Street. While conducting a weapon frisk, police said they located marijuana, MDMA, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The driver, 36-year-old Anthony Carter, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Resist, Delay, Obstruct

During another traffic stop on Oct. 13 on West Sugar Creek Road, officers said an occupant, 23-year-old Hailey Woelk-Snyder, was found with suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia…
