The potential juror told lawyers that he already had his mind made up and that because of his friendship with the Brooks family, he could not be fair to the defendants in this trial.
Brooks’ Sandwich House opened in 1973. It’s a neighborhood staple in NoDa, so it’s not surprising that someone who knows the beloved Brooks twin brothers, who co-owned the restaurant together, would be called for jury duty.
