More resources for homeless coming to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — More affordable housing and resources for the unhoused population are on the way in Charlotte.

Council members approved several multi-million-dollar projects this week. Even though they’re housing-related, it’s also part of the city leaders’ public safety plan.

One of the projects involves turning a hotel into a non-congregate shelter, meaning there would be private sleeping spaces for people. And on what’s being called the Dream Center Campus in Charlotte, there are plans to build transitional housing for people battling addiction and homelessness…
