Monroe, NC – Law enforcement agencies across the region came together this week in Union County for advanced tactical training aimed at preparing officers for high-risk incidents. The Union County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO) hosted a Basic SWAT School at its training facility, designed to test officers’ skills in teamwork, decision-making, and real-world response under pressure.
According to the UCSO, 10 participants from three agencies—the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Gaston County Police Department, and Waxhaw Police Department—took part in the intensive program.
