Charlotte community invited to discuss homelessness ahead of 2026 count

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Mecklenburg County is gearing up for its annual Point in Time Count, a one-night survey that helps measure homelessness across the Charlotte area.

The 2026 count will take place on January 22, 2026, and local leaders are inviting the community to get involved early. To kick things off, the county and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Continuum of Care are hosting “A Community Conversation on Homelessness” event.
